How to Make S’mores in an Air Fryer
Prep Time: 1 minute
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Yields: 1 serving (2 S’mores)
Ingredients
- 2 graham crackers
- 1 large marshmallow, cut in half
- 1 – 2 squares of chocolate (such as Lindt or Hershey’s)
Directions
Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees.
Place the marshmallow halves, cut-side down onto one graham cracker. Press the marshmallow so that it sticks to the graham cracker.
Place both graham crackers, one with marshmallow and one without, into the air fryer. Close and cook for about 1 1⁄2 minutes or until the marshmallow is golden brown.
Remove the graham cracker with the marshmallow. Place a piece of chocolate onto the second graham cracker. Allow it to melt for a couple seconds so that it sticks to the graham cracker.
Return the chocolate graham cracker to the air fryer for about 30 seconds, until the chocolate is melted, being careful not to burn the chocolate.
Press the graham crackers together and serve warm.
How Many S’mores Can I Make in the Air Fryer at Once?
Good question! This will depend on the size of your air fryer and the size of the s’mores you are making.
As a general rule, it is best not to overcrowd the air fryer basket and you want to leave enough space between each s’more to allow for even cooking. The graham crackers tend to bounce around, so we only cooked one at a time.
Helpful Tips
- Cook time will vary depending on the size and model of the air fryer. Cook time could take up to approximately 4 minutes.
- Cutting the marshmallow in half and placing the sticky side down onto the graham cracker will hold the marshmallow in place. This prevents it from flying around in the air fryer.
- If the marshmallow does fall off, simply place it back onto the graham cracker and continue cooking.
- The key to preventing overly melted marshmallows is to watch the cooking time and temperature closely. Adjust the cooking time and temperature as needed to prevent the marshmallows from becoming too gooey or burning.
- Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
